Juxtaposing miniatures, photography, found objects and toys, I explore humor & fear with ambiguities of scale & proportions. I'm interested in unfathomably large and minutely small objects and how relative size can create a powerful confrontation.

Ross Martens studied Film & Photography at Northwestern University. In Chicago, he works as an artist, photographer, and art framer. He also currently plays accordion & singing saw in the I Ching Quartet. His recent work on the short film "Do You See Me" has won several awards including Best Cinematography at the Zerotrenta Film Festival in Argenta, Italy.
